Dev Report #1 - Changes from the hiatus


For everyone new here or has never heard of any post I did on the game in the past, this isn't a post mentioning the development of the first build of the dating sim. This is for the second major build of the game.

So far, I can't say that I have a new build for the game, but I can definitely say that I have done a decent amount of changes over the course of my hiatus. Here are all the stuff I managed to accomplish so far in my spare time:

-updated all dateable character's sprites so they are layered sprites instead of regular sprites

-updated designs to a point where I think they look good

-updated a couple background images 

-reworked the first 5 nights in the game to be compatible with the layered sprites

-fixed parts of dialogue that were off or unfinished that I missed the first time around

-wrote the dialogue for an entire week for Springtrap's route (sprites and audio are currently absent )

-wrote the dialogue for weekends for each animatronic

-thoroughly reorganised files

-updated Renpy to the most recent version

-fixed several typos in the dialogue


In the future, my next objectives with this project are:

-try out layered background images to see if they would work

-make a new set of sprites for the dateable characters

-update sprites for the side characters

-finish writing the dialogue for the second in-game week

-maybe replace a specific ambient song I made myself because it was poorly made

So far, that's all I manage to accomplish since last time I posted about the project. I didn't show any pictures because I either wanted to keep the new visuals as a pleasant surprise or it was just code which wouldn't look all that interesting .
